Portal from Facebook partnered with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to create a wizard filter experience on the portal calling platform, targeting magic fans of all ages. To promote the feature, we made a Harry Potter fan of our own, who hosts a web series in which he teaches family and friends the finer points of magical lore and how to use the filter "Curtain Call".
INSTAGRAM CURSED CHILD CHALLENGE
We created a series of spellbinding challenges that appear as a map on @facebookportal’s Instagram Reels tab, each inspired by a Cursed Child filter on Portal. Some of the challenges were easter egg hunts where you have to track something down somewhere on IG, some were questions about the play, and others were commenting with emoji’s. Those who completed all 5 challenges had a chance to win tickets to see the play, and runners-up’s received Portals.
